This course provides an overview of some of the hazards one may encounter in a typical office. Hazards and Risks of Electricity, Office Machinery, Manual Handling and Ergonomics, Chemicals, Environmental factors such as Air and Noise, Housekeeping, Slips, Trips and Falls, Occupational Aggression and Violence, and Fire are discussed.

The student will have access to this course for 1 year. This self-directed course can be completed within 90 days or sooner depending on time and learning capabilities of the student.

  2. How to recognize the hazards and risks of electricity, office machinery, manual handling/ergonomics, chemicals
  3. How to recognize the hazards and risks of environmental factors such as air/noise, housekeeping, slips, trips/falls, occupational aggression/violence, and fire


Assessment:


Students may master the course/s by achieving a percentage at or above 70% for each individual lesson, through their scoring results of the course questions, the skill assessment, or a combination of both.

Summary:

Our Health and Safety courses cover the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and are designed to provide an outline for companies to establish appropriate processes and procedures to ensure the health and safety of their employees and customers. Offer Health and Safety courses as one effective way to reduce injuries, accidents, and claims.
